Motherhood: I find myself both humbled and proud. It’s the most sanctifying work I have ever done. Also the sweetest. And the hardest. I didn’t know such fierce love could exist….and to imagine that’s how The Father looks upon me…wow. They are so precious to me. I pray I remember that when they wake me up mad early tomorrow morning for no good reason 🥹😉💕

A place that feels like home to me, even though I only lived there for a few months. Back in 2016 I spent the summer working at Camp Merri-Mac for girls. This was a hugely formative time in my life where I learned how to better love those around me, grappled with loneliness, & practiced relying on The Lord.

I returned for a little while in 2017 and 2018, just to have more time with my campers. I loved the girls I was privileged to care for and think about them all the time (if some of you are reading this- I want you to know I still have every note or sun you ever gave me and a list of all your names so I can pray over you once in a while.🫶🏻) Co-counselors, too. What a blessing to be able to come back to a place that holds such precious memories 🥹

This post also commemorates the last place I ever went for a run…. I once attempted to run the 1.5 miles from camp to The Drip for coffee when I had a little free time between classes, something a few of my co-counselors would often do. Long story short, it was miserable and painful, it took me twice as long as they said it would, and I hated it so much I vowed never to distance run again. I have kept my word thus far 😂
